The Automotive Industry the world over occupies a central place within the Industrial sector and has been the vehicle of economic growth, leading to technological advances and creation of significant employment opportunities.  The automotive industry consists of the manufacture of cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and boats, their parts and components.  It also includes sales and service points and the provision of finance to support vehicle purchase by the final consumer. 

To ensure the development of the Nigerian Automotive industry, the Nigerian Government produced an Automotive Policy in 1993 and established the National Automotive Council to implement it. [read more »]
